Opening to the public in fall 2017, the Langlais Sculpture Preserve is a nature and sculpture park that will be owned and managed by the Georges River Land Trust. Established on a portion of Langlais’s Cushing homestead, the Preserve retains several of Langlais’s outdoor sculptures in situ, including a thirteen-foot Horse, his first monumental work and a landmark of Cushing’s River Road; his satirical depiction of Richard Nixon in a marshy pond; and his sculptural homage to Christina Olson, among other works.
